A Reason for Roses
Roses, delicately perfumed and perfectly shaped, have been the world's favourite flower for centuries. A gift of a bunch of roses or even a single stem has long signified love and joy shared. Roses have proved themselves to be willing to grow in gardens everywhere, from the misty midlands to the desert, from the coast to the mountains, always tended with loving care. During her career as a garden writer and photographer, the author found all the beautiful rose gardens in the country, and photographed and wrote about them.
A reason for roses is a visual celebration of these gardens and the eternal beauty of the rose. Presenting roses in their various forms, from charming miniatures to tall hybrid teas and rampant ramblers, some making pretty groundcovers, others covering walls or thriving in pots, this title will be a joy and inspiration rose lovers everywhere.
